7digital’s The Confessional is returning for a second series on BBC Radio 4 in September 2022.
The irreverent but forgiving interview series hears Stephen Mangan ask guests to reveal three guilty secrets inside his virtual confessional box.
Series 1 featured wild tales of wrongdoing from David Quantick, Konnie Huq, Shaparak Khorsandi, Ed Byrne, Anthony Horowitz, Olivia Williams, Alastair Campbell, Nigel Planer, Lucy Porter, Dame Joan Bakewell, Phil Wang, Marian Keyes, Suzi Ruffell, Clarke Peters, Dr Phil Hammond, Cariad Lloyd and David Tennant.
7digital’s other comedy series for Radio 4 include sitcom The Cold Swedish Winter and Komedia co-production, Count Arthur Strong’s Radio Show.
A number of audio dramas by 7digital are in development for Radio 4, including George Gissing’s The Odd Women (dramatised by Christopher Douglas and starring Robert Powell and Emma Cunniffe).
